Do you teach traditional Usui Reiki or Shamballa Reiki?
I share my experiences of my training with you to cover what is considered traditional Usui training, however since my training in Shamballa in 1999 the class becomes an integral one. We will follow the syllabus listed on the site and honor any event or conversation that arises during class. Classes that I teach are not the same, in fact each one is different. I enjoy an adaptive approach gravitating towards achieving new perspectives instead of following a specific routine of teaching. I have come to understand each of us learns differently. The three basic perceptions of learning are visual, aural and tactile. I explain the course material in all three areas during class. My philosophy is we are all in a relation-ship. Both literally and figuratively. I view myself as a person in a boat with everyone else in a time and place together. I have an oar and sit to one side of the "ship", everyone else finds a seat that is comfortable and also has an oar. My oar represents my intention, the boat would only go in circles if it was just me paddling, but if I were to inspire all of us to contribute as equals, together we achieve miraculous results.
The figurative element also plays an influence as I believe we all gravitate towards like minds. When I post a class and receive calls I realize this is a two-fold gathering. First our personal reasons for taking the class, second the collective one. The collective goal is sometimes obvious during the course of the class. Sometimes it takes weeks before I discover the common goal we all achieved.
This lays the groundwork for the repeat policy. If you feel you didn't understand an element of the class or simply were in a frame of mind that wasn't able to process the course material. You can repeat the class for free, how about them apples? :)
The free Reiki gatherings also offer to expand from the class experience to the gathering experience.
There is also Master Mind gatherings for those who have been practicing for a while and would enjoy participating in a gathering specifically for teachers.
It is a passion to share knowledge with each other. Reiki is a non-competitive market. People are drawn to you because of you, not just because of your credentials.
When we embrace we are a collective mind celebrating life through the human experience, we all flourish, this is a personal truth for me.
